Utility Upgrades – Water Main Replacement

Home Depot, 75 Mystic Ave Somerville, Somerville MA

This project consisted of the removal of the existing 10” Water Main and replacement with 1200 Feet of New 10” Class 56 Zinc Coated Water Main and 6 New Hydrants. The new Water Main needed to be lined to prevent corrosion. This was an intricate project because of the existing Home Depot that needed to remain open. We had to do this in 24 Hour Shifts. The night crew installed the pipe and the day crew backfilled and paved. All the work was done without disruption to one of the busiest Home Depot Locations in Eastern Mass.
